The Eczema Society of Canada
The Eczema Society of Canada gives a wonderful breakdown of Eczema, its causes, possible triggers and prevention tips. This website is a great tool for those who are newly diagnosed with Eczema or those who are not familiar with the condition. Not only does it offer reliable and up-to-date information regarding Eczema, it also offers resources to help clients cope and manage life with Eczema, including tips on caring for your mental health while dealing with Eczema.

The Canadian Dermatology Association
The Canadian Dermatology Association offers a very helpful information page regarding Eczema. This page briefly, and simply, gives an overview of the condition of Eczema, the signs and symptoms, the causes of Eczema, descriptions of the different types of Eczema, and the triggers and treatments of Eczema. Dr. Kerri Purdy, a certified dermatologist practicing in Halifax, Nova Scotia, provides a wonderful video message outlining all of the information on the page in more detail. It is a great video to watch and show to clients!

The National Eczema Association
The National Eczema Association's website is another wonderful tool to use to learn more about Eczema. This website gives clients a much more detailed overview of Atopic Dermatitis (the most common form of Eczema). It provides accurate information about the causes, symptoms and types of Eczema. It also provides detailed information regarding both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for Eczema. It is a great resource for a client's overall understanding of the skin condition.

Patient Fact Sheets
The National Eczema Association also put together some very helpful patient fact sheets for people of different ages who may be dealing with Eczema. For example, there are tips on what to do for parents when your child is struggling with Atopic Dermatitis, or if you are an adult or teenager dealing with the condition. There are also fact sheets with tips for caring for yourself or others with Atopic Dermatitis, such as taking Bleach Baths or using a Soak and Seal Wrap. The following sheets are great tools to print off and hand out to clients or, if you are someone struggling with the condition, they are great tools to keep nearby!

Eczema Society of Canada
This information sheet, provided by the Eczema Society of Canada, highlights important and foundational skin care practices that those struggling with Eczema should implement in their everyday lives. This handout outlines many tips such as the length of baths or showers people should take, the type of laundry detergent to use, and how to make your environment most comfortable for your skin to prevent any Eczema flare-ups. It is a great resource to hand out to clients or to print and keep handy when trying to prevent flare-ups!

Eczema Video Series
The Allergy and Asthma Network has put together a fantastic learning pathway for Eczema. The learning pathway includes 7 short videos that are helpful for both clients and healthcare providers treating clients with Atopic Dermatitis. These videos include teachings such as understanding who the condition mostly affects, what it looks like on different skin colours, the nurse's role in caring for those with Atopic Dermatitis, and the diagnostic process and treatment options for Atopic Dermatitis. This is not only a great tool for clients, but it is also a great tool for any healthcare professional who is treating a client with this condition.
